Craig Wheat's Bio

Born and raised in Bozeman Montana, Craig Wheat is a multidisciplinary artist now living and working in Portland Oregon. He received his BFA in painting from Montana State University, and his MFA in visual studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art.  Wheats work is a reaction to the visual representations of contemporary culture that bombard our everyday. With a youthful mindset and a partiality for the subconscious his work tries to understand the conflicts inherent in these representations. Fashion culture, comics, cats, skateboarding, and the visualization of music culture are all integral in Wheats personal aesthetic.
